Unishell Cap Price List 2026: Official FOB Quotation, Certifications and PPWR Compliance
Price Transparency | 21 Patents | ISO 9001 & TUV Verified | PPWR-Ready for 12 August 2026
1. Why We Publish Our Price List
Most metal closure manufacturers ask you to request a quote. We would rather show you the numbers. The table below is our official 2026 FOB price list for 38/400, 45/400, 53/400, 58/400 and 70/400 unishell caps - the standard internally threaded metal closures used across food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and personal care packaging. Every price includes a food-grade sealing liner, either pressure-sensitive (PS), polyethylene (PE), paper or an IHS liner stack, selected to match your product and your filling line.
Publishing our ladder does two things. It lets procurement teams budget in minutes instead of waiting days for a reply. And it makes it easy to see how the unit price moves with volume, so you can plan the quantity that gives you the best total cost rather than the best headline number.
2. The 2026 Official Price List

The official Uniseel quotation: 38/400 to 70/400 unishell caps with volume price tiers, FOB Shanghai / Ningbo, valid 30 days from issue.
Reading the ladder: what the volume break is worth
On the 38/400, moving from the 10,000-piece tier to the 100,000-piece tier cuts the unit price from USD 0.09 to USD 0.07 - a 22.2% reduction. An order of 100,000 caps therefore costs USD 7,000 instead of USD 9,000. On the 45/400 the same step takes USD 0.11 down to USD 0.09, an 18.2% reduction; on the 53/400 it takes USD 0.12 down to USD 0.10, a 16.7% reduction.
The two larger formats are priced by pallet because that is how they are most economically consolidated. A pallet of 58/400 holds 43,120 caps at USD 0.14 per piece; two pallets (86,240 caps) drop to USD 0.13. A pallet of 70/400 holds 29,120 caps at USD 0.17, and two pallets (58,240 caps) drop to USD 0.16. In every case the second pallet is cheaper per cap than the first, which is why split orders across two shipments usually cost more than one consolidated order.
3. Commercial Terms at a Glance
Term |
Detail |
Price basis |
FOB Shanghai / Ningbo Port |
Production capacity |
250,000 pcs/day (mass production ready) |
Payment |
30% T/T deposit, 70% balance before shipment |
Lead time |
21-35 days after receipt of 30% deposit |
Quotation validity |
30 days from issued date |
Two of these terms matter more than they look. A capacity of 250,000 pieces per day means a 100,000-piece order is a matter of days of production, not weeks of queueing - which is why the 21-35 day lead time holds even for multi-pallet volumes. And because the balance is settled against documents before shipment, there is no open-account credit risk loaded into the unit price.
4. What Is Included at This Price
A low unit price only means something if you know what is inside it. The FOB price above is not a bare cap shell. Each quotation line includes:
- A food-grade sealing liner, assembled at the factory. PS, PE, paper and IHS liner constructions are available at the same price basis, and we will recommend the one that suits your product, your capping torque and your storage conditions.
- Silver or gold surface finish - the two most requested finishes in the nutraceutical and premium food segments - without a finishing surcharge.
- The full certification dossier: ISO 9001:2015, TUV Rheinland factory audit, SGS food-contact test reports, REACH SVHC screening and RoHS documentation.
- Precision tooling held to an internal tolerance of +/-0.1 mm on critical sealing dimensions, so the closure seats consistently on high-speed capping heads.
- Capping support: recommended application torque ranges, liner guidance, and tolerance tuning against your own bottle samples.
In other words, the price covers a compliance-ready, line-ready closure rather than a component that still needs four suppliers to become usable.
5. Why the Unit Price Stays Low Without Cutting Quality
There are five structural reasons our numbers sit where they do. None of them involves thinning the tinplate, shortening the liner or skipping a process step.
5.1 Vertical integration: we build our own tooling
Uniseel holds 21 patents covering precision manufacturing, intelligent automation and high-value closure products. They include an intelligent stamping die (ZL 2023 2 3287198.X), internal-thread machining equipment for metal caps, and curling pre-treatment devices, alongside the intelligent stamping line and the double-layer sealing radiation-shielded bottle (ZL 2023 2 3012889.9), plus recently granted families such as CN221434750U, CN224026207U, CN224026254U, CN120438729A, CN221112162U and CN221109686U.
Tooling we engineer in-house is tooling we do not buy in at a margin. Just as importantly, an intelligent stamping die that regulates its own press force is what makes +/-0.1 mm tolerance repeatable across millions of cycles instead of holding for the first thousand pieces.
5.2 Capacity dilutes fixed cost
At 250,000 pieces per day, the fixed overhead of a press shift - setup, supervision, quality inspection - is spread across a large output. A factory running 40,000 pieces a day cannot match that arithmetic no matter how cheap its labour is, because its setup cost per cap is five to six times higher.
5.3 One tooling family across five neck sizes
The 38/400, 45/400, 53/400, 58/400 and 70/400 closures share a common 400-thread architecture and a common construction logic. Tooling development, liner selection and quality control are amortised across the whole family rather than re-funded for every size. That is why the 58 mm and 70 mm formats - statistically less common sizes - can still be quoted at USD 0.13 and USD 0.16 per piece rather than at a specialist premium.
5.4 Group structure without a trading-house layer
Uniseel operates as a consistent three-entity group: Hangzhou Uniseel Technology for export, Lin'an Shengxiang for production and Shengshi for domestic trade. The same legal and operational chain runs from press to export carton. There is no intermediary taking a markup between the factory floor and your freight forwarder - a saving that shows up directly in the FOB number.
5.5 Yield, not scrap, pays for the price
Automated stamping lines, in-line inspection and controlled curling produce fewer rejects. In a business where a rejected cap still consumes tinplate, coating, liner and energy, a two-point yield improvement is worth more than a similar cut in raw-material cost - and unlike a material cut, it does not show up in your fill line as a leak.
6. Quality Evidence You Can Verify
Every claim above is backed by a document we can send before you commit. The following certificates and test reports form the standard Uniseel dossier:

The closures and liners are engineered to (EU) 10/2011 on plastic food-contact materials, (EU) 2024/3190 on bisphenol restrictions, (EU) 2025/351 amending the plastics rules, and the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. For European buyers the relevant customs code for tinplate screw caps is HS 8309 90 90 00.
7. PPWR Compliance Before the 12 August 2026 Deadline
Regulation (EU) 2025/40 - the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation - applies from 12 August 2026. Its Articles 65 and 67 require producers placing packaging on the EU market to register in national registers, appoint an authorised representative where they are not established in a member state, and make financial contributions to extended producer responsibility schemes.
A closure supplier cannot register on your behalf, but a supplier can remove most of the friction. Uniseel already holds:
- German packaging EPR registration under LUCID: DE1853254565231
- French packaging EPR membership with the approved eco-organism Leko - member number 1784818511480, UIN FR535332_01OYDP
- An authorised representative in France, Synertrade FR SAS, for compliance correspondence
- EU trademark 019352104, so the brand you specify is protected within the single market
The practical effect is that the material, the compliance language and the evidence trail a national register or an eco-organism expects are already in place. Buyers who start vetting suppliers in the second half of 2026 will be doing in weeks what can be confirmed in days today.
8. Total Cost, Not Unit Cost
A unit price is only half of a purchasing decision. When a closure arrives that does not seal, the cost is not the cap - it is the filled product, the labour, the rework, the scrapped batch and the delayed shipment. When compliance paperwork is missing, the cost is a market hold or a retroactive EPR contribution. When critical dimensions drift, the cost is downtime on a capping line that was specified to run at speed.
This is why the +/-0.1 mm tolerance, the liner engineering and the certification dossier are part of the price rather than optional extras. A closure at USD 0.07 per piece that eliminates a rejected batch is cheaper than a closure at USD 0.05 that causes one. We would rather be the supplier whose price is defensible than the one whose price needs defending after the first shipment.
9. How to Lock In Your Price in Three Steps
Step 1 - Sampling for fit, not for form.
Send us your bottle or jar. Under our "First Box, Full Answer" approach we test the closure against your actual container, and where the sealing land or the rim profile calls for it we fine-tune tolerances so the cap seats correctly on the first production run.
Step 2 - Confirm the liner and the finish.
PS, PE, paper or IHS liner, silver or gold finish - all at the quoted price basis. We will recommend the combination based on your product chemistry, capping torque and storage conditions.
Step 3 - Issue the PI and fix the tier.
Once the specification and quantity tier are confirmed, we issue a proforma invoice. Quoted prices hold for 30 days from the date of issue, so the fastest way to secure a tier is to confirm while the quotation is live.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is the price of a 38/400 unishell cap in 2026?
USD 0.09 per piece from 10,000 pcs, USD 0.08 from 50,000 pcs and USD 0.07 from 100,000 pcs, FOB Shanghai or Ningbo, silver or gold finish with a food-grade liner included.
Q2: What do the larger 58/400 and 70/400 caps cost?
The 58/400 is USD 0.14 per piece for one pallet (43,120 pcs) and USD 0.13 for two pallets (86,240 pcs). The 70/400 is USD 0.17 per piece for one pallet (29,120 pcs) and USD 0.16 for two pallets (58,240 pcs).
Q3: How much do I save by ordering a higher quantity?
On the 38/400, moving from the 10,000-piece tier to the 100,000-piece tier reduces the unit price by 22.2%. The 45/400 drops 18.2% and the 53/400 drops 16.7% over the same step.
Q4: What are the payment and lead time terms?
30% T/T deposit with the 70% balance before shipment, and a 21-35 day lead time after the deposit is received. Production capacity is 250,000 pieces per day.
Q5: Are the prices FOB or delivered?
All quoted prices are FOB Shanghai or Ningbo Port. Freight, insurance and destination charges are arranged separately, and we can support DDP quotations on request.
Q6: Is a sealing liner included in the price?
Yes. Every quoted cap includes a food-grade liner - pressure-sensitive, PE, paper or IHS - assembled at the factory, at no separate liner surcharge.
Q7: How long is the quotation valid?
30 days from the issued date. Because metal prices and exchange rates move, confirming within the validity window is the most reliable way to hold a tier.
Q8: Which certifications support these caps?
ISO 9001:2015 (07625Q1617R0S-ZJ/001), TUV Rheinland factory audit (MIC-ASI263162), SGS food-contact report TAOPC26004208103, RoHS report CANPC26012340303, PS liner report TAOPC26005219201, IHS liner report TAOPC26004587601 and REACH SVHC screening of 253 substances.
